NY Red Bulls vs. Sporting Kansas City

The Red Bulls were back home tonight after whomping DC United 4-0. The face Sporting Kansas City, formerly Kansas City Wizards. I wonder why they changed their name. I mean it’s so much worse now. The team name before the city? Is this like a new trend they are trying to start? I think it sounds goofy. Oh well, they lost anyway!

Red Bulls won 1-0. You could really tell in the second half that the Red Bulls aren’t as good when they swap out 3 of the starters for backups. Defense was way less strong without Teemu Tainio. Not so many chances up front without Luke Rodgers either, although the kid I never give too much credit to, Juan Agudelo, had some good plays.

Red Bulls back on top of the East now. Looks like it’s going to be another great season!
